MANASOTA SCRUB PRESERVE
This 179-acre preserve is a small pocket of wilderness in a suburban community. Visitors can appreciate a variety of upland and wetland communities along a system of trails.
LEMON BAY PARK AND ENVIRONMENTAL CENTER
Get off the beaten path and explore Lemon Bay Park. Discover unpaved nature trails, an butterfly garden, interpretive panels throughout the park, scenic boardwalks and a canoe/kayak launch.
CEDAR POINT ENVIRONMENTAL PARK
115 acres pine flatwoods cover over 60 % of the park, Cedar Point also has scrub, scrubby flatwoods, mangrove swamps, salt marshes, and wetlands.
ANN & CHUCK DEVER REGIONAL PARK
Formerly known as Oyster Creek Regional Park, it has 315.6 acres of land, 50 acres for active use, 120 acres of environmental land, and 36 acres north of the creek.
MYAKKA STATE FOREST
The forest includes approximately 2.5 miles of frontage on the Myakka River, which is designated as an Outstanding Florida Water and a Wild and Scenic River.
